About me

picture of me

I’m an assistant professor at the Université de Rennes and a member of the Institut de recherche mathématiques de Rennes. I completed my PhD at the University of Grenoble Alpes in 2019, followed by postdoctoral research at Tel Aviv University and the University of Bologna (2019–2023).

You can download my CV here.

I also organize the ergodic theory seminar at the IRMAR, held every Monday afternoon. If you’d like to come speak, feel free to get in touch!

Research

My research focuses on dynamical systems which is the study of the long-term behavior of complex systems evolving over time, both from a qualitative and quantitative point of view. I also study higher-dimensional systems, such as Lie group actions on geometric spaces, with particular emphasis on homogeneous dynamics and modular dynamics.

Recently, I have been studying the horocycle flow in moduli spaces of translation surfaces and related systems, such as horospherical foliations in linear loci. This flow can be viewed as a higher-dimensional counterpart of the horocycle flow on finite-volume hyperbolic surfaces, whose behavior is now well understood. However, it has been discovered recently that the modular horocycle flow is not as rigid, and it remains an open question whether orbit closures and invariant measures can be described in a meaningful way. These questions are at the core of my current research.
